A champion is crowned

Through each of the last twelve weeks of the regular season, I chose the best uniform in college football. These uniforms were stacked up against each other, and ranked from 1-12. Using these rankings, I chose the best-looking uniform in college football this fall, via a tournament.

And thus, a champion has been crowned. To see the best uniform in this year's college football regular season, click here. Will it be South Florida in week 11? Or Virginia Tech in week 4? Or will it be somebody else? The results are in.

Uniforms of the Week: Boise State Broncos

In the last week of the regular season, Boise State romped New Mexico on Saturday in style, wearing their alternate orange tops and Nike Pro Combat helmets. Great color combination, and the helmets sealed the deal.

Uniforms of the Week: Maryland Terrapins

After an entire season of experimenting with new uniforms combos, the Terrapins finally made the list. The matte black helmets look great with the yellow-white pants/jersey combo, especially for an afternoon game.

Uniforms of the Week: Texas Tech Red Raiders

The Red Raiders rolled into Missouri wearing all-white on Saturday. While they lost the game, they definitely had the better uniforms.

Uniforms of the Week: South Florida Bulls

Surprisingly, this is the just the Bulls' first appearance on the 'Uniforms of the Week' segment this fall. With one of the best helmet designs in football, this white-on-green combo looked spectacular under the Carrier Dome lights on Friday Night. South Florida would go on to beat Syracuse 37-17.

Fun Fact- How Kent State became blue & yellow

Kent State's original school colors were purple and orange, and they had been since 1910. Some years later, the basketball team's uniforms were taken to the local cleaner. The hot water caused the uniforms to turn navy blue and yellow, and the team wore the uniforms to their next game. The students liked the new colors so much that they voted to change the school colors to navy and yellow. Kent State's colors are still navy blue and yellow today.
